What do you get when you mix clothes, antiques, and memories of childhood birthday parties at a popular pizza chain? You get The Works – a place where modern designs from Australia”s best and brightest emerging designers meets with eccentricities from a bygone era (minus the pizza … it just always springs to mind when the words The Works is mentioned).
Tucked away amongst the briefcase stereos, vintage playboy magazines, and dining settings that wouldn”t look out of place on the set of The Brady Bunch is #CROSSSECTION, the permanent retail store showcasing a diverse collection from designers featured at Bizarre Bazaar, the popular laneway night market that is the brainchild of A Series of Fortunate Events.
#CROSSSECTION officially launched on Tuesday night with a killer playlist and a bevy of well dressed people perusing the racks. Unfortunately for me, I had a $900 car insurance bill to pay the next day, so couldn”t make the most of all of the pretty things I saw. SAD!
However, I did not walk away empty handed due to being distracted by the gorgeous jewellery from stannard-inc. I picked up this amazing bronze and quartz necklace.
If you can”t wait for your fix between Bizarre Bazaars, #CROSSSECTION is open most days of the week.
