Last week, we attended the opening night of issue 05 of The Pool Collective at Darlinghurst’s Black Eye Gallery. The Pool Collective is a group of photographers that release a quarterly iPad publication of their works. You can check out the free download here.
What made the exhibition great was the level of interactivity – attendees could browse the issue that featured photos, text, interviews and video on the numerous iPads that were framed and mounted to the walls. Photographs from the issue were also displayed in the more traditional framed style. Guests sipped on Smirnoff cocktails and Asahi beer.
The Pool Collective Redux is on until December 23rd at the Black Eye Gallery. Take a break from the stress of Christmas shopping and head on down to the gallery for some quiet time, because it’s free!
